The Bath
Pour a hot bath between 94-103 degrees to aid in opening the process. Add 2-3 scoops of the ginger lime salts. To enhance the effects of the ginger bath grate a tablespoon of fresh ginger, then release it under the running water. Allow the salt to dissolve.
Soak for about 30 minutes and keep a cool cloth around the neck to ease any lightheadedness. Drink lots of bottled water.
Pampering Spa Tools
Start with a great comfortable robe, slippers, and 2-3 fluffy bath towels. A basket of gentle body brushes to remove the dead skin and increase the blood and lymph circulation, a sea sponge and neck pillow. For those who prefer the shower, “Dry Brushing” before entering the shower is a great rejuvenator. Brush in a circular motion towards the heart for the best effect.
The Mood
A chill-out do nothing day or at night is the best time for a ginger lime bath. It leaves you feeling sleepy and relaxed. Surround yourself with candles, fresh cut flowers, a relaxing CD, a book, bottled water and your favorite beverage. Unplug and disconnect your mind, body and soul from the stress of the day.
Re-Hydration
After the 30 minute (or longer) soak, step out of the bath and wrap yourself in a towel that will help continue the spa experience. Rehydrate with ginger lime body shea butter and/or a moisturizing oil. Slip into the robe that is waiting for you (terry cotton, linen, bamboo, or silk). The toxins will continue to release through sweating for about another hour or two. Drink plenty of water, continue to relax, and finally sleep.
